racenet operators wanted

As I updated racesow and with it the racenet servers to warsow 0.42 it's now possible to have some operators to keep the servers clean from flamers, cheaters, fakers etc. To be operator does not just mean to have access to opcall stuff but to help people and also engage in the racenet at all. The operator-system is going to be rewritten and combined with other administrative funtions on the homepage later. For example testing of uploaded maps and mappool-management via website and maybe posting of news etc...

0.32 stats closed

Racenet has finally closed the 0.32 web stats. On the last 0.32 server which is going to stay online you can still record stats and see them ingame. But the web stats won't be updated anymore. We also do not merge any 0.32 nicknames anymore. Any request will be considered to be for 0.4x.

Racenet 0.32 versus Racesow 0.4x

Since 0.4x is released the activity of Racenet 0.32 servers is shinking. Actually we only list about 10 players and 100 races per day. In contrast to Racesow 0.4x preview servers over 200 players and 3000 races per day are recorded (check yourself on the bottom of the homepages for 0.32 and 0.42). We're going to stop rendering 0.32 statistics soon, but leave em online to be viewed and the top 30 players from 0.32 will get an award in 0.4x stats. One 0.32 server may also stay online just for the few ppl who still play it, but there's no more competition and that's why stats are beeing closed. Racesow isn't done yet and actually we only run the serverside version. Though the weapons aren't as good as in racenet 0.3x/0.2x the current racesow preview seems to be accepted by most players. 13 Comments
